Submission

What is a greater fulfillment of God's design and order for women, than she finding her God ordained position?  When looking at everything in creation we know that God is a of order.  God's order does not change and for a young lady in her house to find the blessing of submission, will find true joy in her marriage, submitting under her husband as unto the Lord.

Beyond Obedience - Christine Lamicela

As a child growing up in New York City I heard nothing about submission. I was married when I was thirty-two, and it was around that time I first started hearing about the idea of obeying your husband. I thought, “Oh, okay, I’ll obey him.” But I had no idea how unsubmissive I really was. It was not until later that the Lord showed me my attitudes, my controlling spirit and other destructive areas of my life.

Free Indeed - Krislyn Shank (age 17)

You say you are free;
Yet you are bound

Going Beyond - A Poem - Amy Carmichael

line2

Across the will of nature
Leads on the path of God;
Not where the flesh delighteth
The feet of Jesus trod.
O bliss to leave behind us
The fetters of the slave,
To leave ourselves behind us,
The grave-clothes and the grave!

We follow in His footsteps;
What if our feet be torn?
Where He has marked the pathway
All hail the brier and thorn!
Scarce seen, scarce heard, unreckoned,
Despised, defamed, unknown,
Or heard but by our singing,
On, children, ever on!

Her Covering - Michelle Stace

Whether or not a woman is to wear a head covering is quite controversial, but by looking carefully at I Cor. 11:1-16, it is simple and clear. The apostle Paul begins in this way in vs. 1-3: “Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you. But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.” In verse 3 he is stating the order of authority in marriage.

Meditations on the Book of Esther for the God-fearing woman - Roline van der Merwe

Part 1

Vashti - the foolish plucketh down her house with her hands.

"And Memucan answered before the king and the princes,Vashti the queen hath not done wrong to the king only, but also to all the princes, and to all the people that are in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus. For this deed of the queen shall come abroad unto all women, so that they shall despise their husbands in their eyes, when it shall be reported, The king Ahasuerus commanded Vashti the queen to be brought in before him, but she came not. Likewise shall the ladies of Persia and Media say this day unto all the king's princes, which have heard of the deed of the queen. Thus shall there arise too much contempt and wrath.

Part 2
Esther - A queen of the King's choosing

Oh, the wisdom of God. He can use our faults to bring His will to past. It is proven that His ways are not like ours. We will see the beauty of the new life in Christ as we take some time to look at the example of Esther. A quick look at their names will reveal some of the deep truths God has hid, as treasure to be found, in His Word. Vashti means "beautiful". Which she was, from the outside. Scripture tells us:

...beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised. (Pro 31:30)

Nou dat ek weet wat dit eintlik kos
Sal ek wéér my drome en ideale los
Dis mos wat ek lank gelede belowe het

Stand Behind Your Man - Laura Lloyd

But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, Even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, Which is in the sight of God of great price. For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, Who trusted in God, adorned themselves, Being in subjection to their own husbands: Even as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: Whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, And are not afraid with any amazement.” I Peter 3:4-6
